During the Reelworld film festival April 2008 my wife and I specifically choose to see a documentary entitled Bullying: A Culture of Silence. We were aware of the subject, after all bullying has been with us since our own school days but, we were shocked at how it has reached levels of viciousness, one could say brutality unknown to us in our youth and, how detrimental it could be on victims, and those closes to them. I admire those in the documentary who came forward to talk about their ordeal. I am sure it was not easy for them.
We defiantly walked away from the documentary wondering how it could get so out of hand, if all parities were educated properly.
My wife is a nurse and is pushing to have this documentary screened at a camp she spends two weeks of the year at. It should be seen in schools.
I highly recommend this documentary. Parents with school age children should see it.
